VAN

*VAN* IN A NUTSHELL: Sweet, friendly youngster just looking for love. Needs training. OK with other dogs. LOVES to play.

On October 17th, our facebook angel, Kathy J, sent us an email with a facebook link to Van. His initial intake picture showed a pretty frightened youngster, but the video changed our minds about him. Original intake photo He was so excited that someone had come to see him that he couldn't contain himself! Van's online posting At first we had to say no to Van because there was simply no room at the inn (Husky Camp); however, when volunteer Lucas stepped up and agreed to make the drive to pick up Marty, a vacancy was created for Van! Marty was picked up on Thursday morning and Chuck and Jon were at the shelter to get Van on Thursday afternoon. Freedom!     Thanks, Chuck & Jon! Van will be enjoying Husky Camp hospitality until a transport to Phoenix can be arranged. With our rescue "dog wagon" in the shop, we're looking for alternatives to get this boy to Phoenix. UPDATE 11/9: Van is on his way to Arizona with Cinderella and Aurora! On the road with Betty and Todd (Van in crate behind Aurora) Snooze time for everyone Van has arrived in Phoenix! Van has an appointment with our vet on the 26th for his initial check-up, neuter surgery and vaccinations update, after which he will be available for introductions and adoption. UPDATE 12/9: Van has recovered completely from his neuter surgery and is out of the "cone of shame." Van (at right) celebrated his freedom with best buddy, Zuko    The boys thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon freedom and were so happy to have each other to play with again ~ they even took time out to make a new friend UPDATE 1/13: Van was placed into a new foster home in New River this afternoon. He and Fionna took a liking to each other right away and it was off to the races!   Van's first night in his new foster home appears to have been a success ... for everyone Adoption fee $325.00.
