*PEANUT* IN A NUTSHELL: Sweet friendly youngster. Good with other dogs. Just getting to know him better.
Peanut first came to our attention in a facebook post sent to us by our angel, Kathy J. The post stated, "Peanut is estimated to be about 7 months old. He is NEUTERED. He arrived at City of San Bernardino Animal Services as a stray on 12/19/23. He's hoping 2024 will be a better year for this sweet young boy." We didn't have a square inch to spare, and no way to pick him up in San Bernardino and bring him to Phoenix.

Just when we thought we'd have to pass on Peanut, our volunteer Betty touched base and asked if we needed anyone transported as she was off work this Thursday! We jumped at the chance and put in a commitment for Peanut immediately.

UPDATE 1/25: Betty and her co-pilot, Todd, drove to San Bernardino this afternoon and picked up Peanut.

Getting ready to leave the shelter
Loaded up and heading for Phoenix

He won't fit in that 300 crate for long!
Peanut with temporary roommate, Shiloh, at Betty's

Peanut will be taking up residence with one of our staff members. He is up-to-date on shots, microchipped and ready to steal your heart. After a much needed bath, he will be available for introductions and adoption. Anyone ready to fall in love with this handsome boy? We'd love to hear from you!

UPDATE 1/26: Peanut (lime green collar) arrived at his temporary foster home and immediately introduced himself to fellow rescue furkid, DeeDee. The two had a blast in the yard.

Adoption fee $425.00.
