| *LOKI* IN A NUTSHELL: Calm, sweet 6-7 year old gentleman that gets along well with others but is not particularly fond of cats. |
| This handsome hunk is Loki. He was found by Good Samaritans at the end of January in the Goodyear area. They had him scanned for a microchip and, SURRISE, he had one! But when they contacted the owner listed on the chip, she stated that she had "surrendered him years ago" ... no further information, no name of the person she had "surrendered" him to, nothing. So, since the new owner never updated the information on the chip, it was of no help whatsoever in locating this boy's family.
The finders have done everything to find his owner. They are unable to keep him because they have smaller dogs and a cat living in the home, but they have kept him safe by rotating Loki with their own dogs and giving him time in the yard and home for some love and attention. According to his finders, "He is a great dog."
Loki is in excellent physical condition. It's obvious he has been well taken care of. How a dog like this, one that has been well loved and taken care of, can simply vanish from his home and no one comes looking for him is beyond our imagination. He appears to be housebroken and crate trained and also follows some commands like sit, gentle, stay and come. Unfortunately, Loki's finders cannot keep him indefinitely and they have reached out to us for help in finding him a foster or adoptive home. We had hoped to meet Loki to get some current photos and to do a temperament evaluation, but to date that has not happened. Although, if he is half the dog his finders say he is, someone is going to be very lucky to add this boy to their family. NOTE : We have not met Loki and cannot attest to his temperament. All information and photos above have been provided by his finder(s).Adoption fee to be determined.
