| *CHUCKY* IN A NUTSHELL: People and dog friendly young adult. Loves water. Cats are an unknown. | |||||||||
| When we didn't have a square inch of space to spare, we received an email from our Facebook angel, Kathy J, asking us to consider this boy "just in case" we found room. We didn't, but after looking at the video, we had to at least try.
According to the shelter, "CHUCKY came into the shelter as a stray on 7/17/26 from Rialto jurisdiction. He was NEUTERED by the shelter on 7/25. He is kenneled with other dogs and has been in playgroup with multiple other dogs. He is a PEOPLE dog and solicits attention from staff. CHUCKY is a BEAUTIFUL dog with an adorable personality."
We didn't have a minute to spare since Chucky had already received several extensions to his termination date and time was running. We literally didn't have anywhere to put him. We reached out to our friends at Husky Camp to see if they could offer safe haven to Chucky until we could find room for him here in Phoenix, and they said YES! Only problem was, it was already 2:30 and Chucky's deadline was was 2 o'clock! Were we in time? A quick call to the shelter and we held our breaths until we were notified that Chucky was safe and could be picked up tomorrow! PHEW!! That was a close one. UPDATE 9/30: Chucky has been safely pulled from the shelter and is on his way to Husky Camp to relax and make new friends until we have room for him here in Phoenix. Thank you Kathy J (for finding him), and to Chuck and Jon for making yet another trip to the shelter to pick up one of our furkids.
Adoption fee to be determined.
